Safe communities are built through relationships, trust, and a shared commitment to one another. The A.M.A.N.I. Initiative is proud to launch its Peacekeepers Program, a community violence intervention initiative dedicated to promoting safer neighborhoods in Chicago Heights, Park Forest, and Sauk Village, Illinois.

Our Peacekeepers are trained community members who work alongside residents, local organizations, faith leaders, and community partners to help prevent violence before it occurs. Through outreach, conflict mediation, resource navigation, and positive community engagement, they serve as trusted connectors who help strengthen relationships and create opportunities for hope and healing.

The Peacekeepers Program is built on A.M.A.N.I. Initiative's guiding philosophy of Peace with Purpose, the belief that lasting change begins with listening, building trust, and working collaboratively to address the challenges facing our communities.

While our work focuses on violence prevention, our mission extends beyond responding to conflict. We are committed to supporting individuals and families by connecting them with resources, encouraging positive choices, and fostering partnerships that contribute to safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.

As we begin this important work, we are grateful for the support of our community partners, residents, and stakeholders who share our vision for a brighter future.

Together, we can build communities where every person has the opportunity to live, grow, and thrive in safety and peace.

Peace with Purpose. Community with Impact.
